Whatcom Prevention Coalition (WPC) includes youth-led and youth-serving organizations that promote healthy youth development. They support positive mental health for youth and work to end youth suicide.
Unbridled Spirit 7 belongs to this group, our facilitators have participated in Hope Science Education through this coalition that have greatly benefited our youth programs.
Arenas For Change is a professional community offering facilitator training & support — created especially for therapists, life & executive coaches, and educators who transform lives through applying a story mindset in sessions incorporating horses, animals, and nature.

Unbridled Sprit's staff and volunteers have access to the wonderful trainings they offer and our staff are in the process of obtaining certification.
The EAGALA Model - A Team Approach
The Eagala model provides an innovative solution that provides a unique space for an emotionally safe, hands-on experience for clients. With real-time feedback, clients are able to reach issues where traditional talk-based therapies leave off.
The Model requires a licensed, credentialed Mental Health Professional and a qualified Equine Specialist who structure sessions incorporating horses to effectively address the client’s treatment plan or learning goals, helping with issues such as addiction, domestic abuse, behavioral disorders, depression, anxiety and trauma.

Unbridled Spirit currently employs three Certified Equine Specialists as well as one Mental Health Professional who are all EAGALA certified.
WCEE collaborates across sectors — including community organizations, businesses, tribal institutions, agencies and schools — to increase equity and collective capacity in environmental education.
Unbridled Spirit belongs to this group and has attended their trainings that support our outdoor education programming. We hosted a networking event for fellow members in Spring of 2023 at the farm
North Sound Accountable Community of Health is an independent nonprofit organization committed to building vibrant and healthy communities, places where all can live full lives.
They convene diverse individuals and organizations to foster meaningful community-led collaboration leading to equitable well-being, fewer people suffering and struggling and more people thriving.

PATH International Leads the advancement of professional equine-assisted services by supporting our members and stakeholders through rigorously developed standards, credentialing and education.
Unbridled Spirit's Director, Sonja Wingard, holds Instructor and Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning Certifications with PATH.
